Project "Give A Stitch" Currently, we are knitting and crocheting lap robes for the residents of Mark Twain Convalescent Hospital along with Chemo Hats for local cancer patients. Gather with friends, old and new, try new stitches, and gift your time to a wonderful cause. Looking for a good home for your unused stash? We will gladly adopt your orphans & lost sheep. Machine-washables will be used for lap robes & the rest will go into the Adoption Bin to raise funds for more yarn. |

Our Community Mission . . . To bring the needle arts experience to the youth of our community; and . To encourage charitable needle arts activities . . . at little or no cost. We are able to accomplish this through generous donations of time and material ~ from our customers and our vendors ~ and cash donations to the Calaveras Fiber Arts Fund. EwePhoric Yarns established the Calaveras Fiber Arts Fund (CFAF) as a non-profit venture. Initial funding came from shop profits and from sales of yarn from our Adoption Bin. "EwePhoriKids", "Give a Stitch" and The Calaveras Needle Arts Guild are community programs currently supported by CFAF. The Fund also provides assistance to Needle Arts Mentoring Programs throughout Calaveras County. We gladly accepts yarn donations. Or, if you prefer, support a EwePhoriKid!

is a Needle Arts Mentoring Program endorsed by the Helping Hands Foundation. This program supports after-school and summer needle arts activities for boys and girls in grades 1 to 12 throughout Calaveras County. The program promotes and encourages relationships between adults and youth, fostering curiosity, creativity and a feeling of achievement through the teaching of needle arts. Our long range goal is to have 100 children taking part, annually, in EwePhoriKids in Calaveras County. We can always use Volunteer Coordinators & Mentors to assist in achieving this goal. Contact us at the shop for information about starting a group in your school or community! "I believe the children are our future. Teach them well and let them lead the way. Show them all the beauty they possess inside. Give them a sense of pride to make it easier." Lyrics from "The Greatest Love of All"TM |
