Plaza was a very cozy 400 square feet. No, it was a shoe box on a shoestring. But, thanks to our supportive customers (and being in the right place, at the right time), we were a able to move to our current location in September, 2005. Still in Arnold Plaza, and directly above Pablito's Mexican Restaurant, we now have 1,200 square feet of quality yarn, accessories, and an inspiring atmosphere for customers to shop, to learn and to participate in all kinds of EwePhoric activities. Our skilled staff wishes to make your experience at EwePhoric Yarns a positive one. Your satisfaction is our business purpose. We like to hear when we have done well; and, we want to hear when we have missed the mark. We are also a higher-purpose enterprise that believes in supporting the community in which we are so fortunate to live and work. Be sure to see the Community page for details. We are always looking for folks interested in helping us help others! |

California-born and bred . . . Susanne and David Bergum . . . both corporate escapees, have been on the lam (pun is intended) since the late 20th century. After selling their homestead in Contra Costa County, the couple was spotted once living on a 42' power boat in San Francisco Bay. Then, there were several sightings as they pulled their 5th wheel through twenty states along the Lewis & Clark Trail. It has been confirmed, however, that Susanne and David are permanent residents of Arnold and have been since 1999 (though, they had been slipping in and out of Calaveras County many times over the past 30 years posing as tourists.) Since retiring, the couple professes to be living life backwards. Spurred by a mutual goal to regularly break the fun barrier, friends and family have learned to expect the unexpected from this fiery couple. David motorcycles, hikes, snowshoes, golfs & kayaks. He was recently elected to the Calaveras Big Trees Association Board of Directors; and, often may be found hanging out among the Giant Sequoias. Susanne, on the other hand, finds her relaxation at the shop . . . not just any yarn shop nor your grandmother's yarn shop . . . but, a glorious fiber arts studio that serves as Susanne's creative outlet. With a combined 57 years in the telecommunications industry, the Bergums' human resources, operations and customer service expertise provides a strong business foundation - people. process, quality and cost management. Add Susanne's fifty years of needle arts experience - embroidery, knitting, crocheting, sewing, quilting - and EPY has a formula for success. So, why a local yarn shop, Susanne? "My passion is to inspire; to enable success; to encourage others to build a life-long skill; to create a love affair with fiber . . . EwePhoric Yarns is my channel for this passion." |

| Soon we will be introducing you to Maggie, Marsha, Renee' & Carolyn & Calli - our sheep in shepherd clothing. Stay tuned! |
